@teehee With those stats are you could apply anywhere.

Is it dentistry or medicine you are looking for?

In terms of application I would now focus on work experience quality and reflection and continued wider reading on the career you are pursuing.

Where should I apply for Dentistry (UK) with the best chance of getting in based on my stats?

GCSES: 999999988 and D*2
A level predicted: A*A*A (chem, geo, bio)
UCAT: 2660 band 1

Initially I really wanted to stay in London, but I understand with my low ucat that might not be possible.

Hi

Could I please be given some advice as to where I can apply for undergraduate Medicine with the following:

Biomedical Science - 1st Class
I have completed a foundation year with my degree so it's a total of 4 years.
A level Biology - D
A level Chemistry - D
GCSE Mathematics - 6
GCSE English Langauge - 5
GCSE English Literature - 6

  • Double Award Science - BB
  • GCSE History - A*
  • GCSE Religious Studies - A
  • GCSE ICT - B
  • GCSE Sociology - C
  • GCSE Persian - C

UCAT score 2480 Band 2

I'm unsure whether I would be eligible for contextual or not due to my degree. But I am the first person to attend uni in my family, and family income, and my school is probably part of low attainment and also the area I live in.

thanks

@tilakm7 Really strong UCAT score! You can apply to any university other than KCL and Manchester as they usually require a 7 in english lang. However with your other gcses you might be able to call admissions and see if they would accept your application.

If you want to go to London I would say apply to Queens. Below I have attached some unis for you to research

  • Best chances: Cardiff, Plymouth, Liverpool
  • Moderate chances: Queens, Sheffield, Birmingham
  • Risky but possible: King’s College London

@mazarie

  • Best chances: University of Bristol (Gateway to Medicine), University of Leicester, University of Nottingham (Foundation), Hull York Medical School
  • Contextual support: Strong potential at these schools depending on eligibility criteria.
  • More challenging: King’s College London, Imperial College London.
